How To Measure Your Shirt
HOW TO MEASURE A SHIRT
Collar
Lay the collar flat. Measure from the centre of the button (where it’s stitched) to the middle of the buttonhole.
Chest
Button up the shirt and lay it flat. Measure just under the armpits from one side to the other, keeping the tape straight across.
Waist
With the shirt buttoned and laid flat, measure across the narrowest part of the shirt, usually around the middle of the torso
Hips
At the bottom hem of the shirt, measure straight across from one end to the other.
Biceps
Start about 1.5 inches below the armpit seam, then measure across the sleeve at that point to get the upper arm width.
Shoulders
Flip the shirt over and measure from the outer edge of one shoulder seam to the other — across the back.
Sleeve Length
Measure from the middle of the upper back (right where the neck meets the shoulders), over the shoulder, and down to the end of the cuff.
Shirt Length
Measure from the top of the shoulder, just beside the collar, straight down to the bottom hem.
